Gillian Harvey President | Designer Gillian (MA(U.K.),CDG) is an information design instructor and researcher at the Department of Art and Design, University of Alberta. A project-based art director, her core capabilities include clear language, data visualization, standards and procedural information, wayfinding and signage, typography, print and digital publishing and document design.

Jackie Lee Vice President A downtown resident who still drives more often than he should, Jackie has a finance and economics background and is know in some circles for purposing spreadsheets for unsanctioned uses. In his spare time, he forwards his disposable income to various airlines to get lost somewhere in the word.

Elaine Too Secretary Living in #YEG for most of her life, Elaine embraces both its beauty and flaws. In her downtime, she enjoys travelling, seeking new gastronomic adventures, fumbling her way around digital photography, and just being an all-around geek and tech addict.

Shelley Thompson Treasurer Shelley Thompson is an Occupational Therapist who has a passion for making environments as beautiful and functional as possible.  She is the chair for the Accessible Advisory Committee in Edmonton and often approaches wayfinding through the disability lens.  She has been a member of the wayfinding group since it’s inception and has enjoyed every minute of it.

Naturally, wayfinding holds the most exciting appeal of them all. He's invariably drawn to taking subways and exploring cities on foot whenever travelling. Sorry flaneurs—he's not a fan of getting lost.

Kim vanderHelm Designer Kim first encountered the need for wayfinding while wandering lost through the Biological Sciences building on the University of Alberta campus where she obtained her design degree. When she is not designing, you will find her dirt biking, hiking up to mountain lakes, or snacking on chocolate.
